Basho celebrated the gauzy green of newly planted rice fields in spring in a haiku—a short, chant-like poem with nature at its heart. “One whole paddy field / Was planted ere I moved on / From that willow tree!”
Animal-lovers Spend Valentine’s Day
I don’t understand how love happens between two animals, but it does exist, although the word “love” is invented by human. Maybe there is another emotion similar as love that is expressed in a different way with different language, just like we don’t know what kind of mind UFOs have and how they communicate with each other. In a short, we can’t explain clearly what love is even with our own language, but only know it is a kind of feeling which is an abstract concept. Maybe Valentine’s Day will come that I have such a strange analysis on “love”. Two pictures below show some love we can definitely feel, no matter they are two animals.

Those are the things happenning in the nature, which bring us to another completely new world, far away from our trivial life.

It is not to say you have to go to polar region that few people get to, taking photos that are rarely to be seen, then you can get a good judgement from those judges. Licancabur volcano is located on the border between Chile and Bolivia, photo of fireflies is taken in the farmhouse of Nebraska, and we can often see train stations somewhere. However, they are not just the photos but also with the passion and the observation to this world.
People Winners of International Photography Contest 2009
People Winner is a photo of an old woman sitting and waiting for the bus in her sunday. You may find it is an usual scene that we wouldn’t pay attention to.
